My favourite camera is my cheapest and oldest one. Its a Sony HX-80, and even though its about 7 years old, it still does things my cutting-edge new Smartphone (Pixel 7 Pro) won't - and that is, it has a whopping 30x optical zoom - on a small camera that I can keep in my pocket.
I also recently acquired a Sony RX100 M5 camera. Its a curious wee thing. It looks very similar to the HX-80, but it has a much bigger one inch sensor so it should be far better in low light, but only a 3x optical zoom, which I'm finding more annoying than expected. The RX100 M7 puts this right, but is currently out of range for my budget.
Anyway, if you like taking photos, there's more to life than your smartphone, really.
