I am writing this as we are three or four months into the pandemic here in Scotland.
Back in early March, my nephew informed me he had been following Dr. Campbell on Youtube, and he had mentioned Vitamin D. This sparked my interest, and I have followed it ever since. Here's the highlights. I have been taking between 25 and 50 micrograms each day ever since I learned about it, and you should be too. Dr. Campbell has been more and more insistent about it as the months and data have come in.

- Vitamin D is really important and most of us don't get enough of it. Not having enough of it impacts how effective your immune system is, including defending you against COVID-19.
- The main source of Vitamin D is from being outside in the sunshine. People with pale skin make enough Vitamin D quite quickly - but in Scotland and much of the UK this isn't possible for much of the year because there's not enough sun, so you should be taking a Vitamin D supplement. This is even more important if you don't spend much time outside.
- If you have darker skin, you are even more impacted, as your skin makes less Vitamin D, so you need to take care. You should read up on this.
- The UK government recommends 10 micrograms, however this is only enough to stop your bones going bendy!! You really need much more than that.
